Trainings

Trainings support our consulting services by giving participants the skills to make youth involvement succeed. We work with each client to create a customized training plan for the organization.

Following are examples of workshops we have done in the past. Any of these can be used as the basis for a customized training plan for your organization.

SURE SHOT: AN INTRODUCTION TO YOUTH IN DECISION-MAKING

An excellent starting point for those interested in involving young people in organizations and the community. Through this interactive session, participants explore the dynamics of youth and adult relationships and the importance of listening to young people. Youth and adult trainers provide "how-to" tips and guide activities such as role-playing, testimonials, small-group action planning, and team-building games that help young people move out of the margins and into the center of their communities.

15 POINTS SEMINAR

This seminar is designed for adults who want concrete tips and guidelines on how to create empowering environments for young people. Using interactive activities and individuals' own experiences and belief systems as a foundation, participants examine their attitudes and expectations of young people. Through small-group action planning, one-on-one discussions, and team-building exercises, you will explore how to successfully involve young people in decision-making.
